Occupational health and safety (OH&S) is a global priority and despite extensive regulation, standards and guidelines; work-related disease and workplace incidents still result in millions of fatalities each year. The burden of occupational injuries and diseases is significant, both for employers and the wider economy.
ISO 45001 replaces BS OHSAS 18001 as the definitive occupational health and safety management system standard and is based on the same high-level-structure (HLS) that are now used by all management system standards. There is a 3-year migration period for certified OHSAS 18001 organizations.
The purpose of this course is to provide awareness, understanding and assistance to individuals and organisations for the prevention of death, work-related injury and ill health by using an OH&S management system. This module incorporates the requirements of the ISO 45001 international standard released in 2018.
